Not all left-wing groups are the same..
Well hasn’t the 2020 US Election been fun? There are so many angles one could take on just how messed up the whole affair has been, but although Biden might have “won”, rest assured America has lost big. Does America really have a presence of militant left wing groups?

So, in current American politics the left and the right both get really butt-hurt about a lot of things. One the right ala Trumpland PLC, the big bad bogeymen are ANTIFA.
If you need a more in-depth look at who ANTIFA are click here, or we can do a quick introduction. ANTIFA means Anti-Fascism, which you know generally is considered quite a good thing. Despite this and the fact that there isn’t actually any central organization running ANTIFA the right have asked for them to put on a terrorist list. Quite funny, except that this is real life.
We’ve therefore decided to throw up our favorite left-wing organizations that were actually genuinely bad ass…….
Red Army Faction (RAF)
The Red Army Faction also known as the Baader–Meinhof Group or Baader–Meinhof Gang were a West German far-left organization that were pretty brutal. They existed in two phases between 1973 and 1995 and performed numerous bank heists, murders and attacks on US military. They were bad ass and enjoyed a fair bit of public support.
Japanese Red Army
The Japanese Red Army, also known as the Anti-Imperialist International Brigade (AIIB), the Holy War Brigade, and the Anti-War Democratic Front, were formed in 1971. Their stated goals were to overthrow the Japanese government and create a World Revolution. During the 1970’s and 80’s they planned and orchestrated numerous attacks throughout Japan and the world, including high jacking flights and a massacre at an Israeli airport. These guys were the real deal.
Irish National Liberation Army (INLA)
Few Americans that were financing the IRA and Sein Fein realized that they were essentially a Marxist organization, but to the left of them was the INLA, a truly left wing group/Marxist front that whilst not having the strength of the IRA were still a big player. Often times the IRA would rather fight them than the British. They are now part of the peace process.
Red Brigades
The Red Brigades were a group of Italian Revolutionaries that were thrown out of the Italian Communist Party (ICP) and thus decided to take direct action. They modeled themselves on left-wing groups throughout South America, as well as the partisan movement that had existed in Italy. They were involved in numerous kidnapping and murders throughout the 70’s and 80’s, and were also framed in a false flag affair that ended the “historic compromise” between the Christian Democrats and the Italian Communist Party, allegedly at the behest of the CIA.
The FARC
The Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) were so bad ass that they fought one of the longest lasting civil wars in the world. A few years ago they laid down arms, but at their height controlled an area the size of Switzerland. The left wing ELN, National Liberation Army have continued to fight the good fight.
